태어난 연·월·일·시를 만세력으로 바꾼 사주(네 기둥)에서 정해요. 캐릭터는 태어난 날의 기둥(일주, 60가지), 카드의 종이는 태어난 달의 계절, 손에 든 소품은 사주에서 가장 센 기운(십신), 부적 스티커는 신살·귀인이에요. 시간을 모르면 세 기둥으로 만들고, 시간을 넣으면 시주가 더해져 부적이 더 붙을 수 있어요.

계산은 표준 자평명리 방식이에요: 월주는 절기(입춘·경칩 …) 기준, 일주는 서울 경도 기준 진태양시 보정(−32분)과 야자시(23시 이후는 다음 날) 적용, 1908~1961년의 표준시 변경과 서머타임 기간도 반영해요. 음력 생일은 양력으로 바꿔서 계산해요.

1950년 1월 1일부터 2026년 12월 31일까지 모든 날짜의 모든 시간(24시간, 매시 30분)을 같은 확률로 태어난다고 가정하고 674,976개의 사주를 전부 계산했어요. 각 사주에 붙는 신살·귀인·귀격(천을귀인, 괴강, 백호, 양인, 문창, 천덕·월덕, 도화, 역마, 화개, 홍염, 귀문, 공망, 삼기, 금신, 괴강+신강)에 점수를 매기고, 점수가 높은 쪽부터 상위 0.1% 안쪽을 환상, 1% 안쪽을 전설, 5% 안쪽을 영웅, 25% 안쪽을 희귀, 나머지를 일반으로 잘랐어요. 점수가 정수라 경계가 딱 떨어지지 않아서 실제 비율은 일반 75.9% · 희귀 20.1% · 영웅 3.4% · 전설 0.56% · 환상 0.065%예요. 시간 모름(세 기둥)은 따로 같은 방식으로 경계를 정했어요(일반 77.6 · 희귀 18.0 · 영웅 3.5 · 전설 0.86 · 환상 0.064%).

카드에는 세 가지 비율이 있어요. 캐릭터 비율은 60가지 일주 각각이 차지하는 몫으로, 균일 계산에선 모두 약 1.67%이고 60개를 더하면 100%예요. 같은 카드 비율은 일주·계절·소품·부적·희귀도까지 전부 같은 조합의 몫으로(예: 0.03% = 1만 명 중 3명), 4만 6천여 조합을 더하면 100%예요. 희귀도 단계 비율(일반 75.9% 같은 숫자)은 그 단계에 속한 카드가 전체에서 얼마나 되는지라, 다섯 단계를 더하면 100%예요.

실제로는 해마다 태어나는 사람 수가 다르고(1970년대생이 2020년대생의 서너 배), 계절·요일·시간대(제왕절개가 많은 평일 낮)도 고르지 않아요. 그래서 이 희귀도는 통계가 아니라 "이 조합이 이론상 얼마나 드문가"를 보여 주는 재미 요소예요. 실제 출생 분포 자료가 생기면 그때 가중 방식을 선택지로 더할 수 있어요.

캐릭터는 60가지라 겹칠 수 있어요. 하지만 계절·소품·부적·희귀도까지 같은 카드 조합은 4만 6천 가지가 넘어서, 완전히 같은 카드는 드물어요. 겹치면 그게 또 하나의 인연이에요 — "오 너도? 나도!"

아니요. 사주는 타고난 기질과 흐름을 읽는 오래된 해석 방법이고, 선택과 노력은 본인 몫이에요. 탄생캐는 나를 이해하고 친구와 이야기 나누는 용도로 만들었고, 의료·법률·투자·진로 판단의 근거가 아니에요. "좋은 사주", "나쁜 사주"도 없어요. 일반 카드도 카드예요.

없어요. 모두 성별 없는 동물이고, 카드도 성별로 달라지지 않아요. 성별 입력은 선택이고, 지금은 어디에도 쓰이지 않아요. 나중에 상세 리포트에서 대운 방향을 계산할 때만 쓰일 예정이에요.

저장하지 않아요. 입력한 생년월일시는 지금 쓰는 브라우저 안에서 카드를 계산하는 데만 쓰이고, 서버로 전송되지 않아요. 카드 이미지와 공유 링크에도 생년월일시는 들어가지 않아요(카드 번호·계절·소품·부적·희귀도·닉네임만). 페이지를 닫으면 사라져요. 자세한 건 개인정보 처리방침에.

내 초대 링크로 친구가 직접 자기 카드를 만들면 서로의 도감에 꽂히는 방식으로 준비하고 있어요. 남의 생일을 대신 넣어 카드를 만드는 기능은 만들지 않아요. 도감이 열리면 그때 계정과 저장에 대한 동의를 따로 받아요.

두 가지를 준비하고 있어요. 종합 리포트(무료)는 왜 이 동물·이 색·이 소품·이 부적인지 한 장으로 요약해요. 상세 리포트(유료)는 올해 흐름, 나이대별 흐름(대운·세운), 나랑 잘 맞는 탄생캐까지 풀어 줘요. 사주 계산은 저희 엔진이 하고, 풀이 문장은 Anthropic의 AI 모델 Claude로 생성해요(전달 항목·조건은 개인정보 처리방침 4-2항). 상세 리포트는 지금 몇 살인지에 따라 흐름이 달라서 생년월일시를 쓰고, 요청할 때 따로 동의를 받아요. 미리 등록하면 나올 때 한 번 알려 드려요.

앱마다 진태양시 보정, 야자시 처리, 절기 시각 출처가 달라서 일주나 시주가 하루·한 시진 차이 날 수 있어요. 탄생캐는 서울 기준 보정과 야자시 다음 날 방식을 써요. 특히 23시~1시 사이, 절기 날, 1961년 이전 출생은 차이가 날 수 있어요. 의견은 [email protected]으로.

Your Saju — the Korean Four Pillars, computed from your birth year, month, day and hour. The character is the day pillar (one of 60), the paper is the season of your birth month, the prop is the strongest of the ten relationships (십신) in your chart, and the charm stickers are the stars (신살·귀인) in your chart. Without the hour we use three pillars; adding the hour adds a fourth pillar, which can attach more charms.

The calculation follows the standard Ziping method: month pillars by solar terms, the day pillar with Seoul apparent-solar-time correction (−32 min) and the late-rat-hour rule (after 23:00 counts as the next day), plus Korea's 1908–1961 standard-time changes and daylight-saving periods. Lunar birthdays are converted to solar first.

We computed all 674,976 charts for every day from January 1, 1950 to December 31, 2026 at every hour (24 per day, at hh:30), assuming each is equally likely. Each chart's stars and noble patterns (noble star, 괴강, 백호, blade, scholar, 천덕·월덕, peach blossom, wanderer, canopy, blush, fog gate, empty branch, 삼기, 금신, 괴강 with a strong day master) are scored, and the top 0.1% by score is Mythic, the top 1% Legendary, the top 5% Heroic, the top 25% Rare, the rest Common. Because scores are integers the cut-offs are not exact; the actual shares are Common 75.9% · Rare 20.1% · Heroic 3.4% · Legendary 0.56% · Mythic 0.065%. Three-pillar charts (hour unknown) have their own cut-offs computed the same way (77.6 · 18.0 · 3.5 · 0.86 · 0.064%).

A card carries three ratios. The character ratio is each of the 60 day-pillars' share — about 1.67% each under the uniform method, summing to 100%. The identical-card ratio is the share of the exact combination of day pillar, season, prop, charms and rarity level (e.g. 0.03% = about 3 in 10,000); the 46,000-odd combinations sum to 100%. The rarity-level ratio (figures like Common 75.9%) is how much of all charts falls in that level; the five levels sum to 100%.

In reality births are not spread evenly — far more people were born in the 1970s than the 2020s, and seasons, weekdays and hours (scheduled daytime births) are uneven too. So rarity is not a statistic; it shows how uncommon a combination is in theory. If real birth-distribution data becomes available we may add a weighted option.

Yes — there are only 60 characters. But with season, prop, charms and rarity there are over 46,000 card combinations, so an identical card is rare. If you do match, that's a connection of its own.

No. Saju is an old way of reading temperament and flow; choices and effort are yours. Tansaengkae is for understanding yourself and talking with friends, not a basis for medical, legal, financial or career decisions. There is no "good chart" or "bad chart". A common card is still a card.

No. All characters are genderless animals and the card does not change with gender. The gender field is optional and currently unused; it will only be used later for the direction of the ten-year cycles in the detailed report.

Nowhere. The date and time you enter are used inside your browser to compute the card and are never sent to a server. The card image and the share link do not contain them either (only the card number, season, prop, charms, rarity and nickname). Close the page and they're gone. Details in the privacy policy.

A short code like #c=1.50.0.2.64.1.0.Mochi: version, day-pillar number (0–59), season, prop, charm set, rarity, whether the hour was unknown, nickname. Your birth date cannot be recovered from it. Whoever opens the link sees the same card and can make their own with "Find mine too".

When a friend makes their own card through your invite link, it lands in both collections. We will not build a feature for entering someone else's birthday on their behalf. When the collection opens we will ask separately for consent about accounts and storage.

Two are in the works. The overview report (free) sums up why this animal, this color, this prop and these charms on one page. The detailed report (paid) adds this year's flow, the flow by age (ten-year and yearly cycles) and which characters match you. Our engine computes the chart; the reading text is generated with Claude, Anthropic's AI model (what is sent and on what terms: privacy policy section 4-2). The detailed report uses your birth date and time because the flow depends on your age, and we ask for consent when you request it. Register early to be told once when they're ready.

Yes. Your card (the image with your name on it) is yours to post and share. Extracting the character art for products, ads or other services is not allowed. Details in the terms.

Apps differ in solar-time correction, the late-rat-hour rule and the source of solar-term times, so the day or hour pillar can shift by a day or an hour. Tansaengkae uses Seoul correction and the next-day rule. Differences are most likely for births between 23:00 and 01:00, on solar-term days, and before 1961. Write to [email protected].
